Best kept secret

A couple weeks ago, I happen to be out doing what I thought was a regular walk-thru of a wedding venue for a client and happened upon one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets.  Many of you may already be familiar with The Wahoo Grill.  It’s a great restaurant with superp food!  But what you might not know is that the Wahoo Grill is also a great venue to host a wedding.  From the parking lot to the wait staff to the owner herself; nothing but world class service!

Unlike most venues, there’s no venue fee.  The only major cost to have your wedding here is the food (which did i mention, is amazing).  The per person cost for food starts at $29pp.  The next menu is $35pp and the final menu is $44.  Perfect if you want a small intimate wedding at an eclectic venue space!

Wondering what your wedding would look like here?  Take a peek at pics from photographer Stacey Bode.  View, the rest of the wedding at, http://staceybode.com/blog/?p=289.

Old School DJ Love

This was our original inspiration for Bridalpalooza (thank you Melanie, Lucy and Lovely).

I imagine a young NY couple living in the Bronx or maybe Queens.  In love with Hip Hop and life itself.  Getting married in their tiny apartment with all their homies from around-the-way.  It reminds me of a care free time, before chivari chairs and shatung linens.  A day where love took center stage instead blinged out huppahs and couture gowns.  A day of old school dj love…

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year ladies!  We started the year off right participating in one of our favorite events…Bridalpalooza 2011.  This year we took the girls GREEN, designing an echo-friendly wedding inside the venue Ambient Plus Studio.  Thank you to Joshua McNair Photography and Aregrayline Photography for such beautiful images!  And, the biggest thank you to Melanie Carter of Lucky + Lovely, for designing our GREEN wedding.

We even had a tiny guest drop by…

What better way to start the year!

We’re getting published!!

The pictures from the photoshoot finally came back.  A little later than we would have liked being that the fall season is coming to an end, but this story has a happy ending.  One of our favorite publications saw the images from the shoot, and although they were almost done with the layout for their next issue, they decided to feature some of our shots in their style section.  Check us out in the next issue of Atlanta Weddings Magazine.  A BIG thank you to Elizabeth Ralls, Atlanta Weddings Magazine Editor, for seeing what we saw in our “Fall” in Love photoshoot.

The big reveal…

“Fall” in Love Photoshoot

We decided to do a fall concept wedding shoot.  I was very nervous in the beginning.  Pulling all the peices together proved quite the task.  However, my assistant plus all my vendors made it happen in a big way.  Here’s a sneak peek of the behind the scenes at the photoshoot:
