Real Wedding: Yovanni & Sam

Sam and Yovanni named their wedding the Egyptorican event of the year!  She’s Puerto Rican and he’s Egyptian.  The two together made a 300 guest, fusion wedding, all night party. The rustic fall wedding took place at the Loew’s Hotel.   The ceremony was outside on their city view veranda with the reception following in their elegant ballroom.  Although the Loews is a very modern hotel, Savage Garden turned the space into a rustic oasis.  The beautiful fall colors were perfect for the season.  The couple and their guests ate, drank and danced the night away as they celebrated in style. Thanks Heidi for capturing such a memorable day…

Real Wedding: Kala & Perry

High school sweethearts Kala and Perry knew they would one day live happily ever after.  What they didn’t know is two kids and an NFL contract later they would have their dream wedding.  As the rain clouds parted, the skyline began to show itself just in time for the ceremony.  Atop Ventanas, the guests entered an enchanted forest, then outside for cocktails before entering the rustic moss adorned reception.  Akeem Clayton Design had the daunting task of changing a modern venue into a rustic oasis… nailed it!  Take a peek into Kala and Perry’s happily ever after captured by Milanes Photography.

Real Wedding: Ayana & Savill

I think I fell in love with the brides parents right along with my couple.  From the very beginning, they felt like family.  Ayana, a fitness trainer, met Savill when he came by for a sales call on some fitness equipment.  Fast forward a couple years and the two became inseparable.  Their wedding, which took place at the W Midtown was a crescendo of events. Guests began with an intimate ceremony on the 2nd floor of the hotel, followed by a private cocktail hour one floor up.  They were then escorted to the top floor of the hotel for a reception overlooking the city.  Ayana and Savil’s love was captured by Scobey Photography.  Enjoy every detail… (more…)

Real Wedding: Shayzon & Michael

Shayzon and Michael have been married 14 years.  But after a horrendous first wedding, they decided to have a do-over.  Everything that could go wrong the first time, did.  The bride told the florist her only request for her bouquet was that she not use any baby’s breath.  The day of the wedding her bouquet was delivered and made entirely of baby’s breath.  The photographer took pictures for so long by the time they made it to the reception, guests had already eaten and they had time to do only one dance before the venue announced it was time for them to leave.  That said, you’d think they’d have amazing pictures…NOT!  All of the images were either unfocused or taken so far away, it was hard to make out who was in the picture.  Needless to say, Shayzon and Michael have long since wanted a do-over and decided two kids later that it was time.  Arlington walked his mom down the aisle, while London was the ultimate flower girl.  This wedding was more than a renewal, it was their dream wedding.  Enjoy!
